Shortcomings & Impasses

First Featured at Bunny Gunner Gallery in "Axiom," a solo show. This ongoing body of prints questions the portrait as a subject through the hybrid object. Each piece is carefully constructed using pieces and portions of existing subjects; part nose, part eyes, part paint or ink and part physical gesture. Axiom serves as a starting point from which statements are logically derived. Such abstraction within subjected formalization makes visual knowledge more general, capable of conglomerate meanings, and therefore useful in various contexts.
